Manchester City played its first game Wednesday since UEFA hammered the club with a two-year Champions League ban and $32.5 million fine, and the fans in attendance made their dissatisfaction known.
Several brought anti-UEFA signs to the Etihad Stadium for the Premier League match against West Ham. City supporters have had an antagonistic relationship with European soccer’s governing body for much of the last decade, and this punishment has only enflamed the bitterness.
