Master Roshi

Master Roshi, also known as the Turtle Hermit and God of Martial Arts, is a master of martial arts, who trained Gohan, Ox-King, Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha. He has a sister named Fortuneteller Baba. He is also a hermit and a pervert. Master Roshi is bald, with a thick white fu manchu mustache and beard. He is almost always seen wearing his trademark sunglasses; some time later Master Roshi left his old sunglasses and began to wear more futuristic ones. He wears beach clothes or a martial arts suit and a Turtle Shell on his back. He usually wields a walking stick. His bust, waist and hip measurement are all 73cm. In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Master Roshi wears a pink shirt and white shorts with flip flops. In Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, Master Roshi wears a white tank top and green flip flops.

When he was a teenager while training under Master Mutaito and Korin, it is shown that he had black hair and wore a black pair of sunglasses along with a bluish purple Qipao style martial arts uniform. He was also noted by Bulma to be very handsome, shocked to see how Roshi turned out in old age. During the King Piccolo wars, his head was shaven and he wore a purple Mutaito Training Academy Gi like the rest of Mutaito's students at the time including Master Shen. He also did not wear any sunglasses during this time. In Dragon Ball Super, Master Roshi wears the pink shirt outfit in the God of Destruction Beerus Saga and the white tank top outfit in the Golden Frieza Saga as he did in the movies. During the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, while acting as a Deputized Galactic Patrolman, his white shirt similar to the one he wore during the Tournament of Power features the Galactic Patrol symbol. Master Roshi is over three hundred years old at the start of the series and provides various stories to explain his longevity. Roshi enjoys eating home delivered pizza, which serves as a tongue-in-cheek joke because Roshi lives so far out into the ocean. He also enjoys reading, watching TV, using the internet (mainly for adult sites), playing video games and taking afternoon naps. He is a very lecherous pervert who constantly watches Wide-Thigh Aerobics on television or looks at Dirty Magazines in his spare time. He even accepts a bribe from Bulma to show him her panties in exchange for a Dragon Ball early in the series (and got a very big surprise, as Bulma unknowingly was not wearing any panties when she exposed herself). Master Roshi often makes humorous sexual advances on any beautiful woman he can get close enough to; usually Bulma or Launch in Dragon Ball or Maron, Android 18, or Chi-Chi in Dragon Ball Z. He firmly believes that he is the ultimate stud and very cool, even though his fashion sense and mannerisms seem to be at least a few generations out of style. Although he is dedicated to training his students in the way of the Turtle School, he will nonetheless tell off his students when they are practicing the Kamehameha wave because the water is ruining his magazines. 

The only time he did not tell off one of his students for this when practicing the Kamehameha wave was when Krillin tried to practice it in order to get his mind off his breakup with Maron, partially because he was asleep when it happened. Roshi cares deeply for his students to the point he entered the World Martial Arts Tournament in the guise of a martial named "Jackie Chun" to ensure they would lose the tournament as he felt they might lose interest in the martial arts if they won it too easily due to the great strength they had obtained through his training. While this may have been true for a fellow Earthling martial artist like Krillin, Roshi was unaware that Goku was actually a Saiyan who would never lose interest in fighting due to the Saiyan's inborn love of fighting until many years later after the arrival of Raditz, though through a story he heard from Goku's Grandpa Gohan he did known that Goku was the elder Gohan's adoptive grandson and may have suspected the boy's potential alien origins from the story Gohan told him. As a result, Roshi found a tough opponent in the young Saiyan and it took all of his skill, power, and abilities to defeat Goku during final match of the tournament. Also during the tournament he showed compassion to Nam by explaining he did not need the prize money to buy water after he was defeated by Goku and gives him a capsule to store water from a well, although in exchange for his help Roshi asks Nam to help him protect his secret identity from his students by having him impersonate Master Roshi in the audience and convince his students that Jackie Chun and Master Roshi were separate people. He is also shown to be quite intelligent as he managed to figure out the Moon was the cause of Goku's Great Ape transformation and correctly deduced that destroying it would cause Goku to return to normal and prevent any further transformations (Piccolo would later use this very same tactic in Dragon Ball Z to stop Gohan's transformation in the Vegeta Saga as well as prevent Nappa and Vegeta from using the Moon to transform).  Despite his skirt-chasing antics, Master Roshi is still a very wise and kind-hearted person who loves those around him like his own grandchildren. He openly enjoys life and its simple pleasures, but is willing to die for an honorable cause if necessary. Despite being immortal Roshi dies when attempting to utilize the Evil Containment Wave against King Piccolo (who was freed during the King Piccolo Saga), which shows that his immortality only prevents him from dying from old age and thus is not completely immortal. He appears in most of the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z movies, usually as comic relief, though in The World's Strongest and Resurrection ‘F’ he actively participates in the fight alongside the other Z Fighters. In Dragon Ball Super, it is implied that the Paradise Herb is the source of Master Roshi's unnaturally long life. He claims that eating some of it will allow him to live on for another 1,000 years. In the Universe Survival Saga of Dragon Ball Super he is recruited as a member of Team Universe 7 after Goku fights Master Roshi at 100% MAX Power when he is turned into a Jiang Shi controlled by Yurin. It is revealed that Master Roshi had secretly been training, and even Goku is surprised at how powerful he is and is excited by the idea of fighting his former master again when he is serious (Goku is still unaware that he fought Roshi in the World Martial Arts Tournament, having never learned that Master Roshi was Jackie Chun).

Android 17

Android 17, Lapis when he was an ordinary human, is the twin brother of Android 18 and Dr. Gero's seventeenth android creation, designed to serve Gero's vendetta against Goku. Despite his interests not initially deviating from this expectation, Android 17 takes it upon himself to kill Dr. Gero, who is uncooperative with Android 18's curiosity in activating Android 16 and deemed inferior by 17. Android 17 makes a return a decade later in Dragon Ball Super, working as a national park ranger on a remote island, preserving wildlife from poachers. He is married and has a child, with two more children being adopted. He is asked by Goku to join Team Universe 7 in the Tournament of Power and due to Goku and Frieza's sacrifice to take out Jiren, he is left as the sole fighter remaining by the end of the tournament and the one who makes the wish on the Super Dragon Balls. Android 17 is a fair-skinned young man with a similar appearance to his fraternal twin sister. He is average in height, though slightly taller than his sibling, with a slim frame and lean-built. He has straight shoulder-length black hair that parts above his forehead, thin eyebrows, and narrow blue eyes. Common among Dr. Gero's androids, 17 has a gold hoop earring on each ear. Originally, he wore an orange bandanna around his neck. He wears a short sleeve black shirt with the Red Ribbon Army's logo on the left of his chest, and underneath dons a long-sleeve white shirt. He wears a belt to hold up his medium blue jeans which have a tear just above the knee of the left leg. Just below the first belt he wears another belt with a gun holster and another pouch, although he discards it by the time the Androids arrive at Goku's house. Android 17 wears green socks and blue and white sneakers.

By the Buu Saga, he wears a teal blue jacket over his clothes along with white gloves as the collar of his jacket is light blue, and during the Super 17 Saga, he wears a tan, knee-length jacket and off-white gloves. The collar and folded sleeves of his jacket were cream yellow. When appearing in Dragon Ball Super, Android 17 wears a white shirt with green sleeves that has "MIR" imprinted across his chest in black letters, and a pair of blue jeans. He has black shoes and wears a tan colored belt, along with a pair of black leather gloves. On his left sleeve is an orange armband that says "RANGER".  Initially a reckless anarchist, Android 17 later reveals himself to be little more than a rebel without a cause. He finds joy in causing panic and acts on whims. Most of his choices during his initial appearance were motivated by what he simply called "The Game", referring to their quest to find and exterminate Goku. While reveling in his enhanced might setting him apart from others, Android 17 hated his cybernetics that were forced on him, as Android 18 revealed when refusing Semi-Perfect Cell's attempts at convincing Android 18 into merging with him. This is likely because of the trauma he experienced due to being kidnapped by Gero. It may also be due to his love of nature, as he was no longer natural when Gero turned him into an Android. When he is revived by Shenron because of a wish that restored both the lives of all of Cell's victims and all the damage caused during the Cell Games, Android 17 goes on to live a life of peace in obscurity. At the end of Dragon Ball Z, Android 17 provided energy for Goku's Super Spirit Bomb to destroy Kid Buu. He reappears in Dragon Ball GT when the scientists Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu brainwash him telepathically, and he is eventually fused with Hell Fighter 17, a Machine Mutant version of himself created by the scientists in Hell, to form Super 17. Even without the ability to maintain his mind, however, 17 still exhibits sensitivity, mostly towards his sister. This is in stark contrast to Future Android 17, where he is a murderous sociopath who cares for no one but himself and his sibling. While under Dr. Myuu's control, he forces his transformed-self to reveal his own weakpoint, thus allowing Goku to kill him. On a related note, Android 17 also showcases some moral restraints, as when witnessing Cell brutally dispatch Piccolo, he, with clear horror and disgust, denounced Cell as a beast for what he did to the Namekian.

Android 17's strongest personal trait is his sense of self. He does his best to resist the will of Dr. Gero, and later, Dr. Myuu, and fights a futile battle against Cell to assert his identity and his pride. He is also overconfident in his power, believing that nobody was stronger than him and stalwartly denying it if someone said otherwise. This changed when he saw Cell and Android 16's strength in battle. He is also somewhat sadistic, as he has a Colt M1911, using it against civilians in lieu of his own power. He seemingly finds amusement in the panic which he causes with it, in both Future Trunks' and the current timelines. This pistol can be seen holstered to his character model in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3. As noted by his sister, Android 17 is somewhat similar to Goku, showing a childlike attitude at times. He often tries to find a fun means to accomplish his goals, as he made his attempt to locate Goku as nothing more than a game, even deliberately avoiding asking for directions in order to "play the game." Similarly, he has a tendency to go off the road during their travel to Goku's house simply because he thought it was "fun", much to 18's irritation. In the anime, when he holds up two hunters in order to trick them into donating their energy to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb needed to defeat Kid Buu, Android 17 says that they won the game before raising his own hand as well. Android 17's rebellious personality has since been tempered by his occupation, as he channeled his somewhat anarchistic and childish tendencies into handling poachers and other persons of illegal intent or occupation within the Royal Nature Park with startling efficiency. His hyperactive nature merely lacked a proper focus before, and when given an ongoing objective, it can be seen that 17 is extremely focused and dedicated to achieving his goals. 17, however, did not lose his sense of humor in his work, as when he stopped the two hunters and tricked them into giving energy to the Super Spirit Bomb, he was clearly amused. His slide into maturity is likely a contributing factor to his marriage. He also apparently has a soft-spot for children. Despite being relatively indifferent to reuniting with his brother-in-law Krillin, he was very warm to meeting his niece Marron. In addition, he had a child with his wife, plus adopted two more. It is possible that his decision to adopt two of his three children may have been influenced by his kidnapping at the hands of Dr. Gero. By the time of the Universe Survival Saga, Android 17 has become much calmer than before, and is a gentleman, suggesting that he is more mature than he had been in the past. Whereas before he was random in his decisions, going purely on his emotional state, he now showed a more collected and pragmatic nature. He has also become very casual and humble, not showing much personal desire beyond providing for his family and protecting the wildlife. He also seems to take his opponents more seriously, a complete departure from his previous superiority-complex self and the murderously sadistic nature of his alternate timeline counterpart. 17 is shown to be very nonchalant and not swayed by any kind of news, even when learning of his potential death should Universe 7 lose in the Tournament of Power, initally refusing Goku's offer to participate despite the circumstances. He also apparently has a soft spot for children, while indifferent to meeting his sister. His child like attitude however is still very present as well as his desire to have a bit of fun while on his way to accomplish his goals, this was mostly shown in the Tournament of Power during his many fights with Universe 2 as he always played along with their over the top introductions and antics of love often playing the role of the "villain". However in times of crisis he is capable of being very serious, and even very heroic and this was mostly on display during his final living moments of the Tournament of Power with acts like throwing himself in front of the exhausted and injured Goku and Vegeta to take hits for them due to his infinite energy or even going as far as killing himself to save them from elimination at the hands of Jiren (although 17 is shown to have survived his own technique later on). Another newer personality trait is his tactical sense of fighting. While outclassed by the likes of Top and Jiren, 17 is able to still fight with them and hold them off for considerable lengths of time. This was mostly shown during his final stand against Jiren, where 17 was actually able to get inside of Jiren's head upon learning of his past and his wish for the Super Dragon Balls and was able to use this to give him a slight edge for a moment.

Android 18

Android 18, originally named Lazuli when she was an ordinary human, is the twin sister of Android 17 and Dr. Gero's eighteenth android creation, designed to serve Gero's vendetta against Goku. While her interests do not initially deviate from this expectation, her curiosity to activate Android 16, in spite of Gero's orders not to do so, leads Android 17 to take it upon himself to murder Gero. Eventually, Android 18 becomes a member of the Z Fighters, as well as the wife of Krillin and the mother of their daughter Marron. Android 18 is a slender, curvy and beautiful woman of above-average height and fair complexion. She has shoulder-length hair that is either blonde or silver that parts over her left temple, which she generally keeps tucked behind her ear. She consistently wears small gold hoop earrings on both ears. Her hair is apparently natural due to her not minding too much when Future Trunks sliced parts of it off during his fight with her (in stark contrast to her future counterpart, where she threatened him for cutting off portions of her hair and claimed it could not grow back). In the Androids Saga when she is first activated by Dr. Gero, she wears a blue denim vest and skirt (with the Red Ribbon logo on the back of the vest) with dark blue tights, a brown belt, brown boots, and a black shirt that has white and black striped long sleeves. After her clothes were ruined in her battle against Vegeta, she changes to a western-style outfit consisting of a brown armor vest and skirt with dark navy leggings, a blue-green long sleeve turtleneck shirt, and brown cowboy boots. Later when the androids arrive at Goku's House and throughout the Cell Saga, she wears a black mini vest with a golden triangle pin, a white short sleeve undershirt with a pearl necklace, dark teal jeans with a golden chain, a brown belt, a pair of short black gloves with a gold bracelet on the left one, and black flats with orange socks.

When she is married to Krillin and living at Kame House, she wears a pale blue buttoned-up denim vest, white jeans, red hoop earrings along with a red bracelet on her left hand, and black flip-flops. Her blue eyes had a slightly darker coloration than last time. Later, at the World Martial Arts Tournament and throughout the Buu Saga, she wears a black shirt with white and black striped long sleeves, blue jeans, a brown belt, and black flats with orange socks. It is noticeable that this outfit incorporates between her first outfit in the Androids Saga and her third outfit in the Cell Saga as the shirt, belt, and color scheme is taken from her first outfit, while the jeans and flats are taken from her third outfit. In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, her outfit in the World Tournament Saga has some minor changes. The color of her black shirt has been changed to dark indigo along with the black and white stripe sleeves being recolored to purple. Additionally, the color of her jeans has been changed to pale blue and is slightly shorter while the color of her hoop earrings has been changed from red to silver. Lastly, the color of her socks has been changed to white with the upper portion no longer being rolled up, and her black flats has been changed to dark indigo and no longer contains the tie. She also wears a pearl necklace identical to the one she wore during the Cell arcs, only it was embedded with a thunder pendant, she now possesses blue-green eyes as opposed to her original blue. In Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, her appearance remains largely the same as Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods with the only noticeable changes being she no longer wears a pearl necklace along with the cuffs of her shirt and sleeves being colored white and now wears blue boots. Additionally, the bottom of her shirt no longer appears to be tucked in, now concealing her belt. At the end of Dragon Ball Z, she cuts her hair shorter which resembles Bulma's bowl-cut hairstyle from the Majin Buu saga and wears fashionable business attire. Her outfit is a red sleeveless shirt, pale yellow business pants, the pale gold hoop earrings she had initially worn during the Androids and Cell arcs, the same gold bracelet on her left wrist which she had worn during the Cell arc, and brown flats. She also wears the pearl necklace that she previously wore during Imperfect Cell Saga and the Cell Games.

For the Universe Survival Saga, she wears a pink tracksuit identical to Gohan's during Frieza's invasion of Earth, and grey shoes with white soles. Like her brother, Android 18 usually displays a cool and confident character, especially in battle, although her sarcastic humor is the most prominent trait of her personality. This is demonstrated when Goku takes notice of her assembly with the Dragon Team at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament, leading to the retort "Look, he noticed. How cute." (in Japanese she says "Took you a while idiot!"), as well as saying "Spare me" when Krillin reveals to Goku that not only have they married, but also had a child. Shortly after this, she is asked by the World Tournament Announcer if her real name is legitimately "No. 18", to which she responds "My father was pretty dull" (in Japanese, she replies "That it doesn't matter" before tossing the number at the World Tournament Announcer). Although she isn't characterized for this, 18 can be very curious if she is really interested in something, to the point of activating her comrade Android 16, and wondering what present she will give to her husband Krillin during a dispute of a wish with the others using the Dragon Balls. She often expresses herself in her cool and downplayed manner well into her marriage with Krillin, often smiling in a somewhat subdued fashion that conveys her very laid back personality, in Super, however, she is often seen smiling. However, 18's sense of humor is not always tactful, as she jokingly expressed to Future Trunks that she wanted reimbursement for him killing her alternate universe counterpart, much to Future Trunks' displeasure. This is a rare instance where Android 18's humor was anything but tactful, as per her usual timing. This failure is likely due to Android 18 being unaware how murderous her counterpart was and how much Future Trunks had suffered because of it, as she likely would have been more sensitive had she known the full extent of the destruction and suffering caused by her and her brother's counterparts. She is also shown to be rather prideful, though not to the same extent as her brother had been during the Imperfect Cell Saga.  As an older sister and delinquent, and later as a wife and martial artist, Android 18 is shown to be outwardly commanding, insisting that she and her brother 17, and later she and Krillin, have to make strides to improve the family's financial situation, insisting Krillin to join the Tournament for the prize money, forcing Mr. Satan into a deal about giving her 20 million Zeni to the point of destroying his property and multiplying the prize money a hundred-fold, wanting Shenron to grant her wish for a present for Krillin, and initially saying that she would only fight at the Tournament of Power if she gains money for it although she later decides to enter because she suspects that the tournament is not really a game. In Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors, Android 18 is hinted to dislike driving solely because of Android 17's insistence on driving around aimlessly without anything better to do. However, 18 still exhibits some of her sensitivity and even protective side, especially towards her twin brother, daughter, and husband. This is in stark contrast to her alternate self from Future Trunks' timeline, where she is a murderous sociopath who cares for no one but herself and her brother though this is mainly due to the fact that Future Dr. Gero had altered Future 17 and 18 to hate humanity, which never occurred in the main timeline. 18 also possesses a vast distaste if not outright hatred of violence against children, to the point that after witnessing Lord Beerus's attacks against Gotenks she lost her temper and proceeded to assault him, despite his decisively superior power. This is likely due to her instincts as a mother and fondness for her friends' children despite being frequently annoyed by the underage Super Saiyans. Unlike her brother, she, like Goku and any other fighter, sometimes had the tendency to let her guard down during battle, allowing her opponents to take advantage, primarily because of her cool and laid-back attitude, as demonstrated by Shosa in the tournament.

Jiren

Jiren, also known as Jiren The Gray, is a member of the Pride Troopers. He served as the main fighting antagonist in the Universe Survival Saga and as a major contestant in the Tournament of Power. An extraordinary powerful being, Jiren is considered to be one of the strongest mortals in all of the multiverse, outclassing even Destroyer Gods. He is a quiet and honorable fighter, who believes in strength and justice. He previously did not trust anyone and never considered teamwork at all during battle, opting to fight enemies alone, and single-handedly almost always winning. Jiren's name appears to come from the word renji, Japanese for stove.

Jiren was meant to have a more outspoken personality, according to Toei Animation. However, this idea was rejected by Akira Toriyama, who stated Jiren was a quiet individual with a tragic backstory. Jiren's planned personality was given to Top. Though this original personality is later used for Jiren in Xenoverse 2. Jiren was originally set to debut in episode 78, and appeared in the initial preview for it. However, he was replaced by fellow Pride Trooper Top in the final version. He was also meant to fight Goku in episode 82, and the statement of him fighting Goku was accidentally kept in the episode synopsis. Jiren is a tall humanoid with an extremely muscular and well-defined build. He has a large, sleek head similar in shape similar to the folkloric aliens known as the Greys. His legs are rather short compared to his upper body, which is probably a race trait. He has gray skin, big round black eyes with enlarged pupils and dark grey sclera, flat round ears, and a barely visible flat nose. Jiren wears the uniform of the Pride Troopers, consisting of a red, spandex suit with black sections around the collar and legs, white gloves, and white boots.

Jiren is a man who devotes everything to justice and never acts for selfish reasons; he lives to protect Universe 11, even stating that he would leave the tournament while it was happening in order to return there if any problem arose in the 48 minutes of the tournament. When Top tells Jiren to participate in the Tournament of Power, he initially refuses to enter - as while it is his duty to protect Universe 11, he will not cause the destruction of other universes to save his own. He will never kill any villains he defeats and instead captures them. Even more, he shows disgust towards those who actively kill and do not follow justice. This is seen when Jiren mocks Hit's "honor" as an assassin, deeming it as rubbish. However, Jiren has a wish that he wants to fulfill, to the point that he will go against his very own principles to get that wish - and as such he enters the tournament to obtain the Super Dragon Balls, although he still states that if any trouble should occur for Universe 11, he would immediately leave to help. Jiren is very stoic and serious about most matters, as shown when he did not perform a pose like the rest of his teammates. He is a quiet person who rarely speaks more than is necessary. He is a very brave, disciplined, focused and observant man, constantly watching and studying his environment to better prepare for any new threat. At the same time, he usually only acts when he feels it is necessary, as he remained stationary at the start of the tournament until seeing Kale go berserk and deciding to end her rampage. However, he is not beyond getting startled. When foes managed to catch him off guard or prove able to compete against him, he can become visibly rattled by it, as seen when Hit captured him in his Cage of Time or Vegeta avoiding his high-speed punches and hit him solidly. While Jiren acknowledges his role as a soldier and follows a chain of command, listening to and following orders from his superiors, his attitude towards them can be blunt and even disrespectful, even if not intentional, as he sternly told Top to step aside so that he could handle Maji-Kayo, replying to Belmod in a somewhat disrespectful manner during their telepathic conversation, and later blatantly addressing him without an honorific. On the other hand, when foes manage to exceed his expectations, as seen with Vegeta and Goku, he will openly applaud their performance to voice his respect towards them for reaching such heights without losing their identity. Alternatively, Jiren will openly ridicule those who do not live up to his expectation and would lose all respect for them, even his superiors, as he was disgusted by Top sacrificing all of his former beliefs in exchange for power and completely lost any respect for his leader and even went as far as to coldly mock him by calling him pathetic.

Gohan

Son Gohan is a half-breed Saiyan and one of the most prominent characters in the Dragon Ball series. He is the elder son of the series' primary protagonist Goku and his wife Chi-Chi, the older brother of Goten, the husband of Videl and father to Pan. He is named after Goku's adoptive grandfather, Gohan. Unlike his father, Gohan lacks a passion for fighting (although, he does possess a strong power within him) and prefers to do so only when his loved ones are threatened. Nevertheless, Gohan fights alongside the Dragon Team in the defense of Earth for much of his life. Gohan takes after his father mostly in appearance, including Goku's facial features, black eyes and even his spiky hair. At the same time, he has his mother's light peach complexion rather than his father's light tan. Also taking after his father, Gohan inherited a Saiyan tail, which was long and prehensile with brown fur. It was removed and regrew a few times during his childhood until removed permanently by Vegeta in their first battle. When first introduced as a young child, he had short and spiky but relatively well-kept hair. He wore a white sleeveless shirt and green pants with black boots with white lacing, this outfit was covered in a Hanfu-style top that was yellow with green sleeves and on the front his family name, 'Son', written in kanji within a large white circle with black lining. He also wore a red cap with the Four-Star Dragon Ball attached to the top. He later removes the Hanfu-style top to show his outfit when he is ready to train with Piccolo. While training with Piccolo, after losing his previous outfit from transforming into a Great Ape, he wears an outfit similar to Goku's original, consisting of an orange gi and black belt with a black undershirt, blue wristbands, and black boots with yellow lasing. At the same time, he wore with the 'Ma' symbol and his hair grew out more into a mullet-style that reached his shoulders. By the fight against the Saiyans, Gohan grows noticeably more muscular for a child and dons a similar attire to the Namekian warriors, consisting of a purple gi with a red sash and armbands, bronze grass shoes, and a white collar around his neck. He also sported a white bandana. Gohan's hair has been cut short and has three thick fringes on his head. Before going to Namek with Krillin and Bulma, Gohan is initially seen wearing an outfit worn in private elementary school and later his Namekian outfit. During his battle against Frieza, Vegeta gave Gohan a Battle Armor, which consisted of a blue jumpsuit with white gloves and boots, and a white torso protection with yellow shoulder pads.

As a child, Gohan is a shy and studious intellectual child who lacks the Saiyan fighting spirit, so he had to utilize his incredible half-breed Saiyan potential and emotional reserves to protect those he loves, becoming one of the most powerful Z Fighters. As an adult, he achieves his dream career of becoming a great scholar. Being only half-Saiyan, Gohan is unusual in his values and personality compared to most full-Saiyans. These unique values and personality separate him from pure Saiyans; as powerful as he is, he does not like fighting much. However, when he is forced to fight, he shows special interest in protecting his family and friends. Like his father, Gohan has a truly pure and gentle heart, apart from having the typical Saiyan appetite and will eat anything. Though he claims he does not share the love of fighting Goku has, Gohan does indeed love martial arts and adventures. It is also clearly obvious that he enjoys his superhuman powers, and he greatly enjoys using them to be a superhero, though he dislikes receiving the fame and attention that comes with it and prefers to keep a low profile, which is why he created the Great Saiyaman persona, in order to keep his identity a secret. This is even more evident when he didn't acknowledge Cell's defeat at his hands to the public after Mr. Satan falsely took credibility for it. During the Zeno Expo, he admitted that his Saiyan half was getting excited from the challenge shown by Top of Universe 11, demonstrating that even though he despises senseless violence, he actually does enjoy fighting as a sport. It is possible that he prefers not to fight due to the many gruesome and painful fights he experienced in the past, and because of these battles, Gohan has negative emotions associated with fighting. 

Despite his lack of interest in competition and even less like of hurting people, Gohan has shown to be a prodigy whose innate talent and natural growth rate exceeds even his own father. By age 10 (including the time spent in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber) Gohan's power and raw skill was on par with Goku and likewise eclipsed all his allies before unlocking an even greater power that surpassed Goku as well. Much of this seemingly stems from his hybrid heritage as since early childhood, Gohan has shown within him a seemingly limitless dormant power, which only revealed itself when experiencing extreme emotional stress, losing most of his cognitive thought in the process and would just as dramatically drop lower than before afterwards. The earliest occurrence of this hidden power was as an infant when he about to crash into a tree when his stroller was accidentally released, giving him enough power to plow a hole clean through the trunk unscathed. Even by normal Saiyan standards, Gohan's increase of might from fear or anger is exceptionally greater, able to compete against the strongest enemies. During their first fight against Frieza, Vegeta notes that Gohan's potential is greater than what he knows himself. Even Old Kai, a Supreme Kai with the power to perceive and unlock one's hidden potential, was baffled by the sheer vastness of Gohan's inner capacities. As a child during the battle against Raditz, a scared Gohan showed a power level of 710, which surpassed the combined might of Goku and Piccolo at their fullest. When angered, Gohan rose to over 1,370 and seriously hurt his uncle in one attack before his power dropped back down to 1. After training with Piccolo, Gohan became the third strongest fighter of the Z Fighters during the Saiyan invasion, reaching 2,800. When angered, he was able to hurt Nappa with his attacks and hold his own against Vegeta. Later on Namek, when Gohan has his potential unlocked by Guru, it was comparable to Vegeta's power level during his assault on Earth (18,000). Between his repeated healing in battle and his continuous rising anger, Gohan was able to knock the tyrannical Frieza around several times and even cause him some damage in his various forms. Gohan's power grows even higher during his three-year training for the androids' arrival. Later, Gohan's training under Goku in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber let him attain Super Saiyan form, master its power perfectly, and match his father's might. So unaware of his own growth, he was the only one not in awe of Goku and Perfect Cell's performance, believing his father to be holding back when in fact Goku wasn't. Once Gohan attains Super Saiyan 2, his power vastly exceeds all the other warriors present; he effortlessly killed each of the Cell Juniors, who playfully pummeled the Z Fighters, each with a single blow and likewise casually began torturing Perfect Cell into a battered mess. When Cell re-emerged in his Super Perfect state, despite losing access to his left arm (due to saving Vegeta) and his energy drained by half, Super Saiyan 2 Gohan managed to defeat Cell in the beam struggle when Cell was momentarily distracted by Vegeta's energy blast.

Vegeta

Vegeta, more specifically Vegeta IV, recognized as Prince Vegeta (Bejīta Ōji) is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race and one of the main characters of the Dragon Ball series. Regal, egotistical, and full of pride, Vegeta was once a ruthless, cold-blooded warrior and outright killer, but later abandons his role in the Frieza Force, instead opting to remain and live on Earth. His character evolves from villain, to anti-hero, then to hero through the course of the series, repeatedly fighting alongside the universe's most powerful warriors in order to protect his new home and surpass Goku in power. Vegeta is a slim yet very well-built man of a below-average stature, standing at 164 centimeters tall. His hair is black (or dark brown, depending on the media) and spikes upwards. Vegeta has a prominent widow's peak. Like most Saiyans, he possesses defined eyes with a consistently stern look to them. Like other Universe 7 Saiyans, he was born with a prehensile brown-furred tail, until it was permanently cut off by Yajirobe.

Over the course of the series, Vegeta's physical appearance changes. While originally appearing very short and lean, especially compared to his massive partner, Nappa, he later seems to be somewhat taller and noticeably more muscular. His hair and forehead appears to be shorter and his facial features, which are perpetually in a scowl, also look more distinct and sharply defined as the series progresses, making him look much older in later sagas compared to what he looked like in his debut. Vegeta is arrogant throughout the series and becomes bitter due to the abuse his race suffered at the hands of Frieza. Following the destruction of his homeworld Planet Vegeta, his hatred toward Frieza grows. His royalty seems to have bestowed upon him an inflated sense of superiority, holding himself above nearly everyone he encounters. He is immensely proud of his Saiyan heritage and believes his race to be the most powerful in the universe. Despite this, even as an antagonist, he did not act as an ordinary Saiyan, being even crueler and prideful thanks to Frieza's influence. As the Prince of a demolished Planet Vegeta, Vegeta is initially introduced as an unrepentant villain. Judging from his evil intentions before joining the Z Fighters, Vegeta has been consistently characterized as extremely arrogant, vengeful, and at times, cold. Many of Vegeta's early heroic acts are because of self-interest or revenge, although he later settles down and grows fond of Earth as his home, raising a family with Bulma. Having been born into the upper tier of Saiyan society, Vegeta was fixated on achieving the legendary status of Super Saiyan and becoming the most powerful warrior in the universe. Vegeta is more of a tactical fighter who often rushes in the brawl without hesitation. However, his rage or arrogance often causes him to underestimate his opponent and usually leads to his eventual defeat and sometimes death. His royal blood and intense fighting style have both benefited and harmed him in many battles. Vegeta has been shown to be one of the more intelligent characters of the series, as well as one of the most serious, rarely exhibiting humor. When he does so, his humor is often very dry and far darker than his fellow Z Fighters. However, he does delight in mocking his enemies, as demonstrated when he offers to reconstruct Android 18 into a "toaster" or a "washing machine" (Funimation dub only). He also shows his bleak sense of humor towards Goku when he was about to battle him in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Aside from his more bleak sense of humor, he has also at times engaged in more sarcastic humor when gloating. A notable example of this was when fighting Semi-Perfect Cell. When Cell demanded to know how Vegeta was as strong as he was, Vegeta flippantly stated that he got that strong by "doing lots of push-ups and sit-ups, and drinking plenty of juice", as well as calling Kid Buu a "gifted speaker" when the latter barely responded at all just before the latter destroyed the Earth. Normally, his massive ego and arrogance overshadow his positive qualities. Despite his personality flaws, Vegeta is capable of respecting individuals, although he never outright states it often showing his respect non verbally. By The Majin Buu Saga, it is heavily implied that he and Piccolo were on civil terms and seemed to have mutual respect for one another. He also expressed some grief over Gohan's fate at the hands of Buu himself. Outside of these two instances, his relationship with the rest of the Dragon Team seemed cool at best. Vegeta is one of the most powerful mortal warriors in Universe 7 and the multiverse as a whole.

From a young age, Vegeta showed tremendous power even by the standards of First-Class warriors and the royal bloodline of the Saiyan race. King Vegeta pridefully stated that Vegeta greatly broke all previous records in Saiyan history. Vegeta has even noted that his entire combat experience and fighting style is purely self-taught, having grown-up with no teachers, further showcasing his prodigious talents and is noted to have even surpassed his father, King Vegeta. Upon his first arrived on Earth as an adult, his power level reached about 18,000. Once fighting against Goku, it took Goku tripling his power with the Kaio-ken to overpower the prince. This convinced Vegeta to transform into a Great Ape, who states that his power increased tenfold. Even when badly battle-worn from Goku's various attacks and having reverted to his base form, Vegeta showed remarkable resilience, able to continue fighting against the Earth's defenders and even held his own against the Great Ape Gohan. At this time, Vegeta's Galick Gun had enough power to at the very least ravage the entire surface of the Earth. After healing from his defeat, Vegeta's power rose to 24,000 thanks to the Saiyan Power (offset by losing his tail, which is known to reduce a Saiyan's strength). After being defeated by Zarbon and healing again, Vegeta's power increased enough that he could defeat the transformed Zarbon through trickery, and cause some minor damage to Recoome, putting his power level just under 30,000. After healing from his battle against Recoome, Vegeta showed an especially potent increase in power, easily outmatching Jeice and Captain Ginyu and being able to fight on par with the full power of Frieza's first form, putting Vegeta's power at around 530,000. Once healed by Krillin's blast in an attempt to become a Super Saiyan, Vegeta's power level shot up once more, becoming able to perceive Frieza's movements in his true form, but ultimately proved no match for the tyrant. After being revived from death, Vegeta found that his power had increased greatly. In the three years preparing for the Androids, Vegeta trained under 450 times Earth's gravity and by the time the Androids arrived, Vegeta, having finally obtained Super Saiyan, was able to effortlessly outclass Android 19 and 20. Piccolo noted that Vegeta may have surpassed Goku. According to Kami, Vegeta's power surpassed Future Trunks', as he lasted far longer against Android 18 than Trunks himself. After Vegeta trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he was effortlessly able to subdue Cell in his Semi-Perfect state with his Super Saiyan Second Grade form. After being soundly defeated by Perfect Cell, Vegeta chose to train again in the Time Chamber and at the Cell Games he, along with his son Trunks, were the only two able to hold their own against the Cell Jr. Vegeta continues training for the next seven years, eventually reaching 500 times gravity. By then, Vegeta became stronger than Gohan, as the hybrid Saiyan had slacked off on his training since he defeated Cell. After seeing a glimpse of Goku's increased power, Vegeta lets himself get possessed by Babidi because he wanted to receive Babidi's magic and catch up to Goku. In this state, combined with Super Saiyan 2, Vegeta is able to fight on par with Goku's Super Saiyan 2 might. Later, against Majin Buu Piccolo noted that Vegeta's power eclipsed Gohan's against Super Perfect Cell. However he proved to be no match against Kid Buu, only being able to hold him off for about a minute.

Frieza

Frieza is the emperor of Universe 7, who controlled his own imperial army and is feared for his ruthlessness and power. He is the descendant of Chilled, the second son of King Cold, the younger brother of Cooler, and the father of Kuriza. Frieza is the catalyst antagonist of the entire franchise, as it is his actions that led to Goku arriving on Earth. He has made several comebacks since his fight with Goku on Namek, including multiple invasions of Earth. Recently, he has been chosen to represent Universe 7 as the tenth member of Team Universe 7 for the Tournament of Power as a replacement for Good Buu. This makes him the most recurring villain of the Dragon Ball series. After the events of the Tournament of Power, he is revived and recovers his title as Emperor of Universe 7.

Frieza is the main antagonist of the Namek, Frieza, Trunks, Gods of the Universe, and Golden Frieza Sagas. He is also the main antagonist of the Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku special and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ film. He later serves as a villainous protagonist in the Universe Survival Saga and secondary antagonist in the DBS : Broly Saga. According to Akira Toriyama, Frieza's design is an amalgamation of what he thought monsters looked like in his childhood. (citation needed) According to the Daizenshuu, Frieza was also inspired by Toriyama's second editor, Yū Kondō. According to Daizenshuu 2, Toriyama was also inspired to create Frieza due to the events of the Japanese economic bubble that had occurred at the time he was writing the Saiyan Saga, with Frieza specifically being based on real estate speculators, which Toriyama claimed were "the worst sort of people". Frieza is one of the villains in the series who possesses an entire range of transformations, each one being quite different than the others. It is implied by Vegeta and Frieza himself in the series that Frieza's fourth, most powerful form is actually his original form, with the other three being forms that suppress and conserve his enormous power. Frieza later confirms this while fighting the main protagonist, Goku. His forms seem to revolve around both western and Japanese concepts of demons. According to an interview done by Shonen Jump with Toriyama, Frieza's final form was purposefully made to look small and less menacing: Toriyama wanted to go against the expectation that villains and monsters become bigger and meaner looking the stronger they are.(citation needed) In his first form, Frieza usually wears battle armor with a purple chest plate. When in his true natural form and also his golden form, Frieza wears his race's ultimate Bio Suit, the Z Fighting Suit. When in his Mecha form, his body is equipped with a permanent Cosmic Suit. In the Universe Survival Saga, he has a halo on his head due to being dead, although this is removed after the tournament due to Whis restoring his life for "good behavior". Frieza is one of the most powerful mortal warriors in Universe 7 and the multiverse as a whole. He was born a mutant with abnormally great power in comparison to the rest of his race. Even though the rest of his family are strong, Frieza has always been in a completely different league. The intensity of Frieza's power even at his weakest can effortlessly destroy entire planets. Upon hearing that Frieza was defeated, the God of Destruction Beerus was shocked that this was possible (by anyone besides himself). He is also recognized as a prodigy of such innate talent and natural growth that he became known as the most powerful warrior in the universe with no real training or proper fighting style. Even more, his mutant genes seem to let him grow in strength in a far shorter period of time than most. After training for the first time in his life; with only four months of training, he shattered his previous limitations and quickly adjusted to his newfound power, developing a state on the level of gods, a feat all the more impressive considering he did so with virtually no help.

In his First Form, Frieza killed King Vegeta with a single blow, and fatally pummeled Nail with a single hand. Once at his maximum power of 530,000, First Form Frieza was able to fend off the combined efforts of Vegeta, Gohan and Krillin despite their considerable growth in respective power. In his Second Form, Frieza calmly handled the trio with little effort and claimed his power level to be over 1,000,000. Only against Piccolo (recently trained by King Kai and merged with Nail) did Frieza fight seriously. Once outmatched, Frieza used his Third Form, quickly dominating Piccolo with a torturous onslaught and managed to repel Gohan's massive rage-charged blast. Frieza claims it would be easy for him to defeat Krillin, Gohan, Vegeta, and Piccolo in his Third Form, but transforms into his Final Form to fill them with fear. In his Final Form, Frieza's suppressed power of a mere 1% was more than a match for the four fighters, they couldn't see his movements (except for Vegeta, who received a Saiyan Power boost) and proceeded to torture and kill Vegeta. Frieza met his first true challenge in Goku and fought on par with him despite his tremendous Saiyan Power increase. Once utilizing 50% of his full power, Frieza quickly dominated Goku, even overpowering his Kaio-ken x10, noting that even a third of his full power would easily handle Goku. Against Goku's Kaio-ken x20 assault, 50% was enough to disperse Goku's Kamehameha with a single hand, only sustaining minor burns. Frieza survived a Large Spirit Bomb, though it damaged his left eye and severed part of his tail. Once Goku obtained Super Saiyan, Frieza utilizes 100%, holding his own for a while against Goku, landing some blows, but he is ultimately outclassed. One year after his defeat on Namek, he was restored with cybernetic parts that made him much stronger than before and Frieza is certain he could defeat Super Saiyan Goku. Iin the anime, King Kai notes that Frieza's Supernova is ten times stronger than the Death Ball he used to destroy Namek. Still, he was easily killed by Super Saiyan Future Trunks. In Dragon Ball Super, after being revived and organically reconstituted, Frieza trains for four months. After unlocking much of his latent potential, Frieza's power increased dramatically, as Gohan openly felt that his full power could not defeat First Form Frieza. Frieza easily defeated Super Saiyan Gohan and killed Piccolo with a single shot. Merely powering-up into Final Form disintegrated nearly all his 1,000 soldiers. In this form, Frieza is strong enough to fight on par with Goku (who had reached the level of gods). Krillin and Gohan note that they could not see either Goku or Frieza's movements (while they had previously seen Super Saiyan God Goku and suppressed Beerus' movements). Against Goku's Super Saiyan Blue, Frieza transforms into Golden Frieza and although the two initially seem on par with each other, Frieza soon proves to be stronger. At full power, Frieza says he could probably kill Super Saiyan Blue Goku in an instant if he was serious. However, Frieza tires rapidly, having not adjusted to his new form, until eventually his blows become ineffective. Upon returning to his normal form, despite his exhaustion, Frieza instantly destroyed the Earth.

Goku

Son Goku, born Kakarot (Kakarotto), is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball metaseries. Goku is a Saiyan originally sent to destroy Earth as an infant. However, a head injury at an early age alters his memory, ridding him of his initial destructive nature and allowing him to grow up to become one of Earth's greatest defenders. He constantly strives and trains to be the greatest warrior possible, which has kept the Earth and the universe safe from destruction many times. Goku looks almost exactly like his father, Bardock, possessing the same spiky jet black hairstyle, dark-colored eyes, and facial features. However, he has softer eyes, a kind demeanor, and a lighter-pale skin complexion from his mother, Gine. Goku's most distinguishing physical characteristic is his hair. He has three bangs hanging to the right of his forehead and two bangs hanging to the left. His hair also stands up in the front with four spikes and three bangs in the back (later in the anime he has five spikes in the front and four in the back). Goku was born with the signature tail of the Universe 7 Saiyans, which was long and prehensile with brown fur. It was removed and regrown multiple times in his early childhood, but in his late teens, Goku's tail was permanently removed by Kami in order to prevent his Great Ape transformation. Goku is one of the strongest mortal warriors in multiverse, often referred (including deities) to as the most powerful and fittest warrior in Universe 7, as well as a one of the most powerful characters in the franchise. A prodigy of combat, he learned a great deal while a young child and would continue to near-effortlessly learn practically any new technique he encountered. His natural talent for battle along with his unwavering drive have taken his power to unprecedented levels to the point of reaching and rivaling the domain of the Gods of Destruction. Ultimately, Goku's might immeasurable potential has made him believed to be incomparable and even unbeatable for any other fighter when he is at his absolute peak.

As an infant, he could drag large rocks tied to him while pursuing food and resist his adoptive grandpa's attempts to hold him down. When first meeting Bulma, he was unfazed when rundown by her car and shot, quickly picking up and throwing her car with her in it. He defeated a Pteranodon, a pack of wolves and a Bear Thief with ease. When meeting Yamcha, Goku fought on par with the bandit despite being weakened from hunger. Later, as a Great Ape, Goku effortlessly destroyed Emperor Pilaf's castle. While training under Master Roshi, Goku consistently outperformed Krillin and amazed the teacher, including moving large boulders and running a 100-meter dash in 8.5 seconds. Goku and Krillin accomplished various grueling labors a day that outperformed an entire work-force of adults. By the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku's might could move a massive boulder. In the tournament, he breezed through the preliminaries while holding back significantly and developed various new techniques against his foes. In the finals, Goku fought on par with the seasoned veteran "Jackie Chun" and likewise replicate practically every maneuver his opponent used on him, narrowly losing by lack of stamina after a double count-out. While fighting the Red Ribbon Army, Goku did not experience any serious trouble against the majority of their fighters, with only General Blue providing any meaningful resistance through the use of his telekinetic abilities. In hand-to-hand combat, however, Goku still managed to handily come out on top after a short but intense struggle. During this time, Goku had also fought on par with the Pirate Robot, an ancient but powerful fighting machine, before finally defeating it with an aeriel assault.  When facing Mercenary Tao, Goku was toyed with by the deadly assassin and only managed to mildly hurt the foe with his Kamehameha before being defeated himself. After training with Korin, Goku defeated Mercenary Tao with ease, able to block Tao's Dodon Ray with only mild pain. Goku then proceeded to single-handedly destroy the entire Red Ribbon Army's headquarters and defeat all of its soldiers. Even Staff Officer Black's Battle Jacket was beaten easily.

To get help from Fortuneteller Baba, Goku faced and defeated her supernatural foes including Bandages the Mummy and Spike the Devil Man with mild effort. He then fought on par with the resurrected Grandpa Gohan, who resorted to grabbing Goku's tail to get an advantage. During the 22nd World Martial Arts tournament, Goku defeated a former champion in King Chappa in the preliminaries. He gradually overwhelmed Krillin, even taking Krillin's Kamehameha with a single hand. As Krillin attempted to stop Goku by grabbing his tail, Goku is revealed to have trained it to be as strong as the rest of his body. Goku then defeated Krillin too fast for anyone but Tien to see. Against Tien in the finals, Goku proved able to counter virtually everything Tien used on him, forcing him to instead rely on a count-out by destroying the ring while he flew. Against Tambourine, Goku was bested due to his exhaustion and hunger after the aforementioned tournament. Once he regained his strength, however, Goku easily defeated and killed the monster. Almost immediately after, Goku was confronted by the weakened, aged King Piccolo himself and dominated at first due to taking him by surprise. However, once King Piccolo got serious, he soundly defeated Goku and easily withstood his Kamehameha. After drinking the Ultra Divine Water, Goku's potential was unlocked, enabling him to easily defeat Drum, King Piccolo's most powerful warrior who had effortlessly beaten Tien, and fight on par with King Piccolo himself, who was restored to his prime and eventually defeated him. After training under Mr. Popo for three years, Goku's all-around performance increased remarkably to surpass his teachers. In the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, with weighted clothes, he effortlessly made it to the semi-finals. Once removing his weighted clothes, Goku's speed proved too great for Tien to even perceive and quickly defeated Tien. In the finals, Goku noticeably outfights King Piccolo's stronger reincarnation, Piccolo Junior, gradually wearing down the foe to ultimately defeat him and become acknowledged as the strongest in the world. While Goku's might was extraordinary by human standards, it was revealed that by even Low-level Saiyan standards, Goku's power was considered extremely pitiful. This is evidenced by how he was outclassed by his older brother Raditz, considered a mid-class warrior himself. Despite aid from Piccolo, he only managed to defeat Raditz by dying with his brother while holding him and also taking Piccolo's blast. After training with King Kai, Goku easily defeated Nappa, the Commander-in-Chief of the entire Saiyan Army, and fought on par with Vegeta, a Super Elite warrior, although he needed to use Kaio-Ken x3 in order to overpower the Saiyan prince. After healing from his fight with Great Ape Vegeta and training at x100 Earth's gravity, Goku's power far exceeded Saiyan standards, easily defeating Ginyu Force members Recoome and Burter, the former of whom pummeled Vegeta and Gohan, and fight on par with Captain Ginyu himself. After healing from his Body Change experience, Goku's power increased immensely, and through various tactics and newfound strategies, forced the powerful tyrant Frieza to fight seriously at 50% of his true power. Only when he used Kaio-ken x20, could Goku land an attack on Frieza at 50% power, and even then, his attack failed to give Frieza any major damage. After transforming into a Super Saiyan, Goku completely outmatched Frieza at 100% power, calmly dominating the foe once fighting seriously.

Zeno

Grand Zeno ("King of All"), the Omni-King, is the supreme ruler of all the Multiverse and its most powerful being by far. Since the events of the "Future" Trunks Saga, Zeno co-rules jointly with his future counterpart. Zeno is very short and small, with a rather large oval-shaped head. He primarily has sky blue skin, except for two sections from his ears to the middle of each eye on both sides of his head, which are purple. He has small round eyes, and small rounded grey "ears". His main attire is a magenta and yellow lined coat, with yellow pants and magenta shoes. He wears a black and white shirt underneath, with the kanji for "all" on the front. He typically has a blank expression on his face. Like many deities, such as the angels, Zeno seems to have a general indifference about life, as well as all the other stuff within the multiverse, having destroyed six of the eighteen universes after a bout of anger, and also destroying several planets in a game he played with his future self 202 times. In the manga version of the Universe Survival Saga, however, it is implied by Grand Minister that the real reason why he destroyed the aforementioned six universes was simply to get rid of what he felt were too many universes. He apparently wished to decrease that number further for some time, with the Tournament of Power being the perfect opportunity to do so. Even more, this indifference seems to extend to the gods themselves, seemingly rendering him a remorseless being to his peers, and was shown to not even be affected by Roh's horrified crying out of his name. He also shows some degree of sadism, as shortly after erasing Universe 9, he proceeded alongside his future counterpart to say "bye-bye!" in a joking tone, as well as being heard laughing childishly while erasing the universe. He and his counterpart also said "squish" in a light-hearted, delighted tone when they were erasing Universe 3. Furthermore, he seems to be incapable of understanding the horrible action of erasing trillions of lives in a single universe, since he and his future counterpart wonder why everyone in the Tournament of Power stop fighting after witnessing the entire universe getting erased.

In spite of all this, Zeno and his future counterpart, at least in the anime, showed wisdom worthy of supreme beings, as the Great Priest revealed that both of them intended the tournament prize, the wish of the Super Dragon Balls, to be used for an incredible virtuous act (e.g. like restoring all the erased universes as it was the case). But if the wish was to be an egotistical one (e.g. riches, power, etc.), all existence would have been erased, including the exempt universes as that would have meant that the winning universe was no better than the erased ones and that the exempt were no more worthy of existing than the others. At the same time, Zeno is also shown to be flexible, tolerant, and even willing to go back on his word on occasion. For example, he accepted Bergamo's proposal to rescind universal destruction were he to win against Goku, despite his earlier decision. He condoned Top's challenge to Goku as an additional fourth match to be witnessed, despite the end of the Zeno Expo. His flexibility, combined with his childish tendencies, also prompts Zeno to permit what otherwise would be rule violations in the Tournament of Power, such as permitting the Evil Containment Wave and use of the Potara earrings. However, he does have limits to what he can tolerate. He immediately erased Frost when he tried to attack from outside the ring, and then threatening Universe 6's erasure to ensure it does not happen again. It is possible that Zeno is lonely, as almost nobody knows of his existence, and those who do fear his power, proving a barrier to friendship, as his attendants wait on him hand and foot and the Grand Minister only treated him as if he is royalty, blithely following his orders without question. To this end, he does not seem to have a problem with physical contact, even with strangers, as seen when he is unbothered by Goku's lively handshake. When his future counterpart gets hugged by Goku, he likewise seems unfazed. His penchant for physical contact with Goku is likely a result of how surgical and formal people are around him, leaving him feeling somewhat starved for companionship.

Zeno is also noted for having taken an immediate liking to Goku due to the Saiyan's often similar childlike, innocent, and naive personality in addition to his tendency to get easily excited about things he finds are out of the ordinary. He can be swayed easily by a good fight, as seen from his interest in setting up a tournament after witnessing Goku's fight against Hit. His interest in Goku extended to allowing him to talk directly to him and shake his hand to the point of lifting the small deity off the ground. Zeno has even gone as far as to ask the Saiyan to become his friend, and to have Goku give him the nickname "Zenny." He prefers Goku to speak plainly, and is unappreciative of (to the point of threatening) those who fear him attempting to speak in Goku's place with what they believe he wants to hear, appreciating the Saiyan's unconventional approach to life and finding his informal and friendly demeanor to be refreshing after countless eons of being feared and skirted around by his subjects and attendants. Though Beerus claims that Goku's friendship with Zeno is the equivalent of measly entertainment for the all-powerful being, the Omni-King is seen to truly value his friendship with him. He was grateful for Goku's suggestion to Present Zeno to be friends with his future timeline counterpart, thereby giving the King of All a friend that is truly his peer and equal in every respect; that is, one who truly understands him. In addition, Zeno was shown to consistently be worried whenever Goku came close to losing the tournament, such as almost falling out of the ring with Nink and admitting that the Saiyan's universe losing would make him "very sad". Even more notably, Zeno showed deep concern when he thought Goku was killed by his own spirit bomb during his fight with Jiren and was visibly very unhappy about pushing the button to eliminate him, which he started to do quite slowly; a hesitation he and his counterpart had previously not done with anyone else. In addition, to the point of near-tears, he was overjoyed when Goku survived and expressed his admiration for his new power and "sparkly" appearance. This was echoed again during his fight with Kefla. Finally, at the end of the Tournament of Power, Zeno and his future counterpart expressed great joy to Goku when Universe 7 wins the tournament, clearly happy that they did not have to erase the only other true friend they have and making it very clear that they wanted to see him again, parting with the Saiyan via a playful fist pump.  Nevertheless, Goku is not the only one Zeno and Future Zeno seem to respect and admire, or, at the very least, find agreeable. Throughout the first match of the Zen Exhibition Match, they seem to take a liking to Buu's nature as well, since he is goofy, high-spirited, childish, and playful, much like the Kings of All. The Zenos also have an appreciation for Jiren, referring to him as cool and even imitating him at times. They also show admiration for Gohan despite never referring to him by name in the anime (calling him "Goku's son", much like Beerus), becoming excited when he turned Super Saiyan to fight Lavender and calling him "the coolest" when he fought Dyspo. They have also consistenly voiced their fascination with Vegeta and his prideful, powerful approach to combat. Ultimately, due to this childish and naive nature driving Zeno to often make impulsive and irresponsible decisions, and despite having everything under his whim, the Grand Minister is usually the one who handles the more responsible matters the most, along with the one who controls a large portion of Zeno's authority himself, hereby making him somewhat of his grand vizier.

Moro

Moro known as "Planet-Eater Moro" (Hoshikui no Moro), is a powerful wizard who threatened Universe 7 about ten million years ago. He is the main antagonist of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. Moro was designed by Toyotarō. He was designed with the intent of appearing as a being of pure evil who the reader could not see as ever becoming good (like King Piccolo). He was based off western demons, specifically goat-like ones. "Moro" refers to different types of shark cutlet, this is thus presumably where Moro's name originates. Moro appears as a large humanoid goat with blue skin and two horns on the sides of his head that curl around to point forward near his cheeks. He has long pointy ears, long dark nails and tufts of fur on his shoulders. He dresses in long red robes with a hood and has baggy dark pants with a fur pelt wrapped around his waist and white bandages around his wrists and ankles. After eons of imprisonment and drained of most of his power, his appearance became very elderly. He stands in a slouch with a hunchback, has deep wrinkles with a scrawny, if not malnourished, frame, and a long white beard reaching his abdomen. After absorbing all of Goku and Vegeta's energy, Moro became noticeably younger-looking with proper posture and no hump plus fewer wrinkles. He also became fairly muscular and his beard shrunk to reach his collarbone. After taking almost all of New Namek's energy, Moro's beard shrunk be trim and had only few wrinkles. Once he absorbed the last bit of life energy on New Namek, Moro's beard disappeared while regaining a very youthful and well-muscled appearance.

The symbol on Moro's belt is the letter "A" in the Galactic Patrol's language.Moro boasts a high level of battle power and an even higher level of magic power. With his magic power, he was able to hold an advantage over both Grand Supreme Kai and South Supreme Kai, the two strongest Supreme Kais at the time. However, after Grand Supreme Kai sacrificed most of his godly power to seal Moro's magical power, he was quickly defeated by the two Supreme Kais - to the point he couldn't even fight back. His high power has made it impossible for any member of the Galactic Patrol over the last ten million years to be able to execute him, likewise being the reason he was still alive after such eons. Even Merus, the strongest of the Galactic Patrol, openly says that Moro's power is in another league altogether - though this was due to Merus being forced to hide his status as an Angel due to the Angel laws - and highly doubted the combined might of Goku and Vegeta could beat him. Having regained some of his previous power, he is able to escape his imprisonment, although it took him a few years after regaining his magic power to muster enough strength to escape. Additionally, his magic abilities are still so weak that even scanning the universe is enough to disorient him. Against Super Saiyan Vegeta, Moro showed noticeable raw might and combat prowess, able to easily evade Vegeta's attacks and using his special powers can overwhelm him as a Super Saiyan 2. However, he is no match for Super Saiyan God Vegeta, who easily evaded his telekinesis. However Moro was still confident that by using his full magic power, he can defeat Vegeta. Moro is able to use his magic to manipulate the very elements of the planets life energy to attack Vegeta, quickly pressuring Super Saiyan God Vegeta, who is able to evade the energy attacks with difficulty and is also able to hold back one of New Namek's energy beams with visible struggle. When Moro powers up by absorbing New Namek's energy, Goku notes that Vegeta probably would not be able to beat him without using Super Saiyan Blue, with Vegeta stating that Super Saiyan Blue is still beyond Moro's current level. Moro easily beats around base Vegeta - who is now unable to even become a Super Saiyan due to Moro having absorbed most of his energy. Moro then proceeds to easily defeat the two Saiyans and drains their life force in order to partially restore himself.

After being partially restored, Moro proved strong enough to kill the Namekian Savior without even looking at him. However, Moro is at somewhat of a disadvantage when fighting against Good Buu - who has regained his latent power. Although he's able to stab Buu without him being able to react in time as well as relatively withstand some of Buu's energy blasts, he's still gradually overwhelmed by Buu, mostly in part due to Buu being immune to his magic and regenerative ability. Good Buu notes that power-wise, Moro is a weakling compared to him. Once Moro has been fully restored, he was able to overwhelm the Grand Supreme Kai without even taking a scratch, though it is noted by Vegeta that if either he or Goku were to fight Moro at full power in Super Saiyan Blue, they would be more powerful than him - barring magic. After consuming more planets, including Zoon, Moro's strength increases further with Merus noting that even if they were to confront him now, their odds of victory are practically zero. Over the next two months before arriving on Earth, Moro consumed many more planets, presumably growing stronger still. By the time he arrives on Earth, his strength increases enough that he's able to block an attack from Super Saiyan Blue Goku, despite Goku's tremendous boost in strength from training. Once facing Goku's Ultra Instinct Sign, while both weren't using their full power, Goku's enhanced agility and reflexes made it very difficult for Moro to defend himself or absorb Goku's energy. Moro is unable to land any proper hits for the majority of the fight, although Goku is also unable to land any decisive blows on Moro or deal any significant damage. Once unleashing more of his full power, however, Moro was able to easily catch Goku off-guard, catching him in a bear hug, and by squeezing him with enough force, caused Goku to revert to base form, though Goku claims that Moro is unsure of victory against Goku's full power since he was stalling for time.

Fortnite 2.57 Update Patch Notes

The Fortnite 2.57 update patch notes are now ready to read. As usual, developer Epic Games has been teasing the new update all week long, with various images of gold characters and items. Now the Chapter 2 – Season 2 12.00 update is available to download and install across PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. Once downtime has ended, players will be able to start their mission and begin the Season 2 grind!

As has now become tradition, developer Epic Games no longer shares the big list of patch notes during downtime. Instead, players have to wait until after downtime is over. However, thanks to small official teasers and the work of dedicated dataminers, we already know about a number of changes for Season 2 – Chapter 2.

Manchester City fans protest UEFA

Manchester City played its first game Wednesday since UEFA hammered the club with a two-year Champions League ban and $32.5 million fine, and the fans in attendance made their dissatisfaction known. Several brought anti-UEFA signs to the Etihad Stadium for the Premier League match against West Ham. City supporters have had an antagonistic relationship with European soccer’s governing body for much of the last decade, and this punishment has only enflamed the bitterness.

Manchester City beat West Ham 2-0 behind goals from Rodri and Kevin de Bruyne. Fans reportedly chanted anti-UEFA sentiments throughout the match. Here’s a brief sampling of the signage.

Every new movie and show on Netflix: March 2020

Spring's nearly sprung, and with the arrival of March comes a new batch of Netflix offerings. A surprising number of good movies are showing up this month. If you like more-romantic films, Netflix is picking up some fun options including He's Just Not That Into You and Tootsie.  But dramas reign supreme this month. March 1 brings the Paul Thomas Anderson masterpiece There Will Be Blood, and frankly I could watch Daniel Day-Lewis' Oscar winning performance over and over again. Netflix is also getting Goodfellas and The Shawshank Redemption. And on March 16 you can watch the truly excellent spy film Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

Netflix has some terrific originals returning this month. The third season of the anime horror series Castlevania lands March 5. On March 11 you can check out the third season of the coming-of-age comedy On My Block. Or you can opt to depress yourself by watching another season of Dirty Money. And March ends with the third season of Emmy winning series Ozark, coming March 27.
